“Knowing you’re beside me, I’m all right”
Posted on July 31st, 2013 @ 12:30 am

I caught the tail end of this today (well, yesterday, but I have yet to go to bed). It was one of my mother’s favorite songs. I need to go get my DVDs from my dad’s. I got this DVD for my mother years ago.  After she died, and I moved to Atlanta, I took it with me.

C’est tout je crois; ah oui, je t’aime encore.

Unconscious Mutterings Week 548
Posted on July 30th, 2013 @ 8:13 pm

I’m just sitting here watching my Atlanta Braves play.  I haven’t watch them for a while.  I’d need to hurry up and get up there to see a game this year.

So, since I really have nothing else to blog about, here’s an another Unconscious Mutterings:

  1. Packing :: Tape
  2. Rent :: No more! I have a house payment now.
  3. Inspire :: Creative
  4. Anti-social :: What I’m sort of doing right now.
  5. Common :: Sense
  6. Repeats :: Offender (just take off the S and it’s a Richard Marx album!)
  7. Dracula :: Blood
  8. Cross :: Red
  9. Short sighted :: Near sighted
  10. Corrupt :: Banker, Cozy the cat. We have a picture of him sitting in a Monopoly box. Nicki called him a corrupt banker.

Sometimes, some memories are just best left in the past.
Posted on July 21st, 2013 @ 11:11 pm

My sister came back from Canada today.  It brought back some memories I wished had not come rushing back.  This song is one I listened to a lot in that time I don’t want to remember.

However, Nicki told me the next time she goes to Canada, I should go as well. I went to Canada once, for about 2-3 hours, during that time I’m trying to forget. If I go back, I need to get a passport. This 100% southern girl is a quarter Canadian. I should see one of the lands my family comes from.  Actually, I think my father maybe has some relatives up the line from Canada as well.

If money where no object, I’d visit Montréal. Québec interests me.  It’s a French based society surrounded by Anglo societies and it thrives.  When I was up near Canada back in 2005, I’d take a listen to the French-based Canadian stations.  I wish I kept up with French.  It’s the language I took in high school.  I’ve lucky to remember “Le crayon est blue” and “Moi chat orange.”

That’s enough about Canada.  While I’m blogging, I might as well do a Unconscious Mutterings:

  1. Wine :: White
  2. Hand :: Wipes
  3. Bottle :: Broken
  4. Soda :: Pop
  5. List :: This
  6. Thimble :: Stuck thumb
  7. Sample :: Free beer last week at the Budweiser plant I went to.
  8. Cloth :: Diapers
  9. Correspond :: Hand written letters
  10. Taste :: It at The World of Coca-Cola.

Don’tcha Hate…
Posted on July 17th, 2013 @ 9:46 pm

…when you have a credit to Amazon or iTunes and can’t find anything to download?

I’m going through this right now.

I’ve been busy.  Doing nothing.  Now, that’s not true.  I spent the 4th with some friends. We talked and watched fireworks. I spent the 5th with my sisters.  We saw the hilarious The Heat.  I spent the 6th with a dear friend from Atlanta who was in town and wanted to see me.

I spent the 11th running errands and drive a friend to work and back.  The next day, we went to Jacksonville to tour the Budweiser Brewery since the rain prevented us from enjoying the outdoors.  I don’t mind the rain, but can’t it rain at night, when I’m sleeping?

And in between those days, I’ve been working.

Like I said, not much.
