Movie night

So tonight, I watched The Runaways. It was a good sit home movie. Definitely NOT a kids’ flick. It’s based on the memoir of Cherie Currie, but the executive produced was Joan Jett.

The movie was sympathetic to both characters. Joan came across as someone that did what she had to do to be able to shine as herself. She wasn’t a saint, that’s for certain. There is only one person in music today that I see has that kind of personality they showed Joan to have in the movie. That’s Pink.

I kind of understood how Cherie fell into a state of despair as they portrayed her home life in the movie. They made it seem like the only person she could rely on was her twin sister, Marie. And for me, I think the most sympathetic character in the film was Marie. She was left behind by her mother, her father was a loser, and her twin went off to tour the world. The movie left out their older sister, as well as other real life characters. Based on true stories film often do that.

And speaking of Marie, the actress that player her, Riley Keough, reminded me more of, and I hate saying it but, of a young adult Drew Barrymore, instead of mother, grandmother, and grandfather.

And their manager; I think Fowl is the most appropriate way to describe him. I wanted to bitch-slap that man.

Overall, not a bad watch for tonight.

I present to you the Stations of the Cross:

Yes, there is only 14 stations in this slideshow, since that what St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Savannah has. The stations are dated to the turn of the 20th century. I took these photos in November 2010.

Playing with Scooter

I’ve been busy as of late. Last week, Beth, Ben, and Brittany came up. We went to the 10-3 Braves loss against the Phillies, as well as went to the Vortex for a big lunch. I think they had fun.

I’m at the point that I don’t know what to blog about anymore. Part of me has become a little more introverted. However, I love to Tweet away.

So, below, is a video of playing with me playing with Scooter:
