1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Took a 1000+ mile road trip with my sister out to Missouri.

2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don’t make them because I’m destined to fail with them.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes.  My friend Lindsey had a baby boy in April.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

5. What countries did you visit?
Stayed in the US, as usual.

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
My own home. I did get the new car this year:
The New Car

7. What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I’ve done so much this year, I don’t think a single date has stuck out for me.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a new car!

9. What was your biggest failure?
I don’t think this year was a failure for me.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had 2 big falls this year because I misjudged how far I had to step down.  My leg hurt for about 2 weeks from one injury, and my wrist hurt for a bit for the other.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
The new car.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
For me, there was no one behavior to merit celebration.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My family did some things this year that got me upset.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Living expenses and savings.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
A week long vacation and seeing/doing things I hadn’t done before.

16. What song will always remind you of 2010?
“Breakeven” by The Script

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
happier or sadder? About the same.
older and wiser? Yes
thinner or fatter? About the same.
richer or poorer? Richer

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Spending time in Savannah.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Worrying about stuff I have no control over.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
At home in Savannah with my family.

21. Question #21 must have fallen into a crevasse on Mt. Everest. I think it’s still stuck there.

22. Did you fall in love in 2010?
No. Thank God!

23. How many one-night stands?

24. What was your favorite TV program?
The Amazing Race, NCIS, Dancing with the Stars

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

A new car.

29. What did you want and not get?
My mother

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
The Social Network.

Photography, music and travel.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
None, really.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Anything that requires me to lose money to be able to support deadbeats and those that cheat the system.  I don’t mind helping those in real need, but bums that just leech off everyone infuriate me.

37. Who did you miss?
My mother, as always.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Just some more cool people at work.  I don’t hand out with them, but I try to be friendly.  I am such a loner.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
Only I can make myself happy.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
“There’s somethin’ to be said for experience. Who knows what’s ahead. Keep on goin’.” – “Overnight,” Amy Grant

The Earworm of 2010.

Before this song blew up to what is is today, my dad and I heard it on the radio one day. I went to turn it up; he assumed I was going to change the station and yelled at me. I had to explain to him that I like Train as well.

I saw them in 2004 down at Ft. Stewart. My mother got my brother a pair of tickets for his high school graduation since he likes them as well. My parents were in El Paso at the time. Had they not been there, I think my dad would have taken him. It was a very enjoyable show. Matthew and I got as close to the stage as we could. I’m glad I was able to see them live.

I always got “South Pacific” and “Walter Winchell” mixed up.

However, I do know the difference between Bardot, as in Brigitte,  and Bob Hope. Joey always sung it that way and it drove me nuts.

I think of the singles from this era, I identify the most with is “I Go To Extremes.”  Describes my life.
