Microblog Test Post
Posted on December 3rd, 2016 @ 7:43 pm

Just testing to see if I got Microblog working after clearing old DB tables and manually creating new ones using the myPHPadmin MySQL interface. Might as well put my degree in IT use. maglol

For those that did see this post, here’s some Christmas music:

Posted some old poems
Posted on June 19th, 2016 @ 7:58 pm

Posted under the Poetry and Prose section some old poems I wrote like 15 years ago or longer.

Looking back, I was a really lonely person that wouldn’t open up to others.

Moved to a new domain – peachy92.com
Posted on October 15th, 2015 @ 5:42 pm

I just decided it was time to get a new domain.  My old domain name points here, so if you have it, you’re good.   I’m not getting rid of it. However, the new domain allows me to be a little more open to adding additional projects.

The new domain is peachy92.com

So far, for new projects, I have moved over my Richard Marx discography to it.

I also developed a new site design.  This one goes with the domain.

Now, to find all my old domain links in this blog and convert them to the new domain.

New Plugin Test
Posted on December 24th, 2013 @ 10:59 pm

I just added a plugin on the site and is now trying it out.

I forgot how much fun blogging could be.

And we’re testing again….

Last one. If nothing posts to my Twitter account from this, I will have to try, later.

Ok, so this is the last one!

A new day means another chance.

Little Tweaks Here and There
Posted on March 4th, 2013 @ 9:29 pm

Last week, I was in Orlando for some training.  Part of that training dealt with Internet coding.  It made me miss the days when I tweaked and configured this site.

Today, I logged into MySpace.  And I found my Imood indicator.  I forgot all about it! When you are depressed all the time, it makes no sense to update it.

So, today, I have tweaked the sidebar.  I added me Imood indicator and added a Twitter panel. I wish the old Twitter php code I had still worked.

And speaking of Twitter, looks like it’s going to kill Tweet Deck. 🙁 I really like Tweet Deck. I don’t like to use everything in a browser.

I Sure Have Neglected This Place
Posted on December 19th, 2012 @ 9:57 pm

I just realized tonight that I don’t even have a robots.txt file.  I haven’t had one in years.  I found this out yesterday when trying to set a directory to private.  I wanted to share a Christmas letter with some folks, but needed it to be password protected.  I didn’t want a bot to find it an index it into Google’s archives.

So now, I have to get back to developing a robots, txt file.  Need to refresh my skills on that.

So, what do you think of the new look?
Posted on January 29th, 2011 @ 4:15 pm

I finally sat down and gave my site a makeover. I didn’t design this layout. I only tweaked it to match what I wanted. I didn’t like the title used in the header graphic, so I had to edit that. Also, the header lacked a link back to the home page, so I had to code one in. Also, some of the single pages were not formatting correctly, so I had to dig into the code and figure out where things were messing up. Then I decided to make a few other cosmetic changes. I think I have it as I want it.

I’ve kind of fallen out of the habit of web site coding. Usually, I’m trying to break the functionality of a website or making sure my DB changes don’t blow up a website, not coding the website itself.

I’m a Published Photographer

Homer the Brave
Homer the Brave by peachy92

I am officially a published photographer.  Last week, I received my copy of  The Underground Baseball Encyclopedia: Baseball Stuff You Never Needed to Know and Can Certainly Live Without.  This picture of Homer the Brave is on page 132 under Homer’s entry.  The book is a full of snark, but I enjoyed what I have browsed so far.

I went ahead and got tickets for one of the Atlanta Braves preseason games this weekend.  Nicki and I will be going.  We also have tickets for a game later in the month for a game against the Phillies.  Also, I have ordered the tickets for the baseball games we plan to see on our Missouri trip.

I had a good day at work today.  I had to partake in culture diversity training.  It was quite fun and interesting.  It also reminded me of my English 1102 class and how I felt that Professor Soto didn’t take in mind that personal experiences influence a piece of literature for people.  Being a military child raised in the South, I have been exposed to many things that other people have not have been to exposed to. There are things many people have been exposed to that I have not.  Even in my own family, Beth and I have different experiences.  She’s grown up in the same town since she was 6.  If it wasn’t me moving one day, it was a good friend.  As a result, Beth and I see things differently just because of how we grew up.  That was part of the lesson today. 🙂

And now, off to upload some new quotes to my quotes database.  They were some good ones from today’s class.

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
Posted on February 14th, 2010 @ 4:33 pm

Snow at Night

This weekend, it snowed in most of the state of Georgia. They even got snow in Savannah! According to my sources in Savannah, seems like the whole town went outside when the snow came – it was after dark. Snow came earlier in Atlanta. I worked most of Friday until my boss said we could finally go home. While at work, I took a picture of outside at 9:19 AM, 1:26 PM, 1:46 PM, and 2:27 PM Friday. You can see how the weather progressed in Atlanta. Now, there is a threat of more snow overnight! I spent the rest of Friday taking photos of the snow.

I removed the log in required for comments on my site. I hope that works for people wanting to comment but didn’t want to register. I just hate SPAM.
